Where 1 Stop Insulation Works

We are a mobile insulation business, not a shopfront. Our installers travel to the job, which means coverage is set by how far a crew can reasonably reach in a day rather than by how close you happen to live to an office. In practice that covers metro Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Gippsland, Geelong and the Bellarine, Ballarat and the west, and the Bendigo, Shepparton and Goulburn Valley corridor in the north.

What we find in a roof space changes a lot depending on where you are, and that changes the job. Inner Melbourne is full of Victorian and Edwardian homes with tight roof cavities, lath-and-plaster ceilings and, often, degraded or rodent-affected batts that need insulation removal before anything new can go in. Post-war outer suburbs typically have accessible trussed roofs where a straight ceiling insulation installation or a top-up is quick work. Coastal areas around the Peninsula and Surf Coast deal with salt air and moisture, so ventilation and vapour management matter more than R-value alone. Homes on stumps — common right across regional Victoria — usually benefit most from underfloor insulation, and weatherboard homes without cavity insulation are candidates for retrofit wall insulation.
